Your Guide to Eating Out...
Eating out will be much easier than you realize and still really yummy. Because you get to eat fat and cheese, it makes for delicious eating out options. Here are a few suggestions...

Vietnamese such as Luna or Thanh Thy... a few great choices are the sate skewers, salt and garlic wings, Any Pho Soup WITHOUT the noodles, a stir fry plate WITHOUT the rice or noodles. Hold the hoisin or just a small tsp to taste. Sriracha is okay.

Mexican such as Mucho Burrito is a great fast food option...make your own bowl with veggies, meat, guacamole, cheese, and salsa. Just no rice, tortilla, or wrap.

Greek such as My Greek Plate is another great place. Pretty much everything on the menu is a go. The key is to just get the protein and the salad...no rice or potato. Ask them to leave it off. They've got fish, chicken, souvlaki, steak. Instead of rice that it comes with just ask for extra salad. But it's a great choice because they use feta cheese, olive oil, and other great healthy foods. Because you can eat fat and cheese, food tastes good and there's lots to choose from. The key is NO rice, potato, or noodles.

Burger restaurant such as Mr. Mikes for quick and easy just get the carb-free protein burger. Basically order any burger without the bun...ask to have them make it in a lettuce wrap. And of course NO fries or milkshakes.

Upscale Casual restaurant such as Fence and Post...again order any protein...ask for no potato or rice and have them serve it with a salad instead like the wedge salad. You'll just be the person who modifies when you eat out and that's perfectly okay. People are much more understanding of food sensitivities and you don't get the weird look. If you feel nervous, just tell them you have an allergy. They have scallops, Brussels sprouts, wedge salad, trout, beef without potatoes.

Donair Restaurant...order any donair with the insides just ask no pita. Or get a couple skewers with a salad. Having it with tzatziki is fine too because it's a fat and not a carb or sugar. I think I'll be getting some kabobs this week from Safeway, seasoning with greek seasoning and eating with tzatziki. Then a little cauliflower rice on the side. Mmmmm...Sorry got distracted. :)

They KEY is to focus on what wonderful foods you CAN eat and not focus on what you CAN'T. :)
